Hello

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of PA. I have always been drawn to human behavior and the art of communication. Often described as "bubbly" and "warm", I enjoy connecting with people and I still get excited by this work over 20 years later! I believe that part of the Art of being a skillful Therapist is relatability and helping people feel comfortable and seen from the start. I possess a deep passion and sense of pride in being a Therapist, and with openness and compassion, I welcome you and the opportunity to support your growth and needs!

    My Story

My family and friends will happily tell you that from a young age I have had an empathetic and sensitive nature that lent itself to the care and nurturance of people and animals. Inspired by my Great-Aunt, I first spoke of becoming a "Psychologist" like her at the age of 7. As I got older, many, including strangers, were drawn to me like a magnet to share their troubles and seek support. While I did briefly explore becoming an English major during my first year of college, I quickly found myself back on the Behavioral Sciences track, where I went on to receive both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. My detour into English wasn't for nothing; it solidified my love for communication in all its forms, which is now a skill that assists me greatly in my work as a Psychotherapist.

I live in the Philadelphia area with my husband, children, and dog, and value my time spent with family and friends. I enjoy music, mindfulness practices, the beach, and walks in nature. I devote a lot of myself to the nurturance of my relationships with people, both personally and professionally. I place significant worth on human rights and multiculturalism, and am proud to come from a diverse background. I love learning and it's not uncommon to find me reading, listening to podcasts, and attending workshops and trainings of various kinds. I think personal growth and enrichment are vital to life and happiness

I truly value my work and the opportunities it offers for growth and connection. A supportive connection with others is a cornerstone of my identity and I am driven by a deep sense of curiosity and commitment to understanding people without judgement. I tend not to see things in black and white. Instead, I use flexibility, open-mindedness, and empathy in formulating my perspectives. This profession is a constant source of learning and new insights for me, and I'm grateful to my clients and colleagues who teach me every day. My work is not just a job, it's my passion, and a cause for gratitude I never take for granted. I couldn't imagine doing anything else!
