My Approach To Therapy
My approach can be considered eclectic, which means I draw from various concepts to best suit your unique needs. I gravitate towards treatment modalities and theoretical orientations that value Systems approaches, such as Family Systems and Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic and Relational concepts, Mindfulness tools and approaches, Psychoeducation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic components, and Attachment Theory and Science.
I take a process oriented, exploratory approach aimed to target awareness and perspective building and reframing. Utilizing tools and interventions from treatment modalities mentioned above, I gently, yet firmly, challenge my clients to take measurable steps towards desired change and progress. Your life story is a roadmap for our work together. We'll explore the experiences and patterns that have shaped you, and those insights will help guide your Therapy journey.

Focal Points & Expertise
I work with adult clients 18 years of age and older. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and provide Individual Psychotherapy services via Telehealth. Primary areas that I focus on include, but are not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Adult ADHD, Neurodiverse Relationship Challenges, Attachment Related Struggles, Issues With Boundary Setting and Perfectionism, Codependency and Over-functioning in Relationships, Trauma and other Challenges From Family of Origin, Life Adjustments and Transitions, and Blended Family Issues.

Over the last 24 years I have worked in several Mental Health settings before establishing my private practice in 2016. Community Mental Health Centers, Hospitals, Group Therapy Practices, and College Counseling Centers were responsible for much of my earlier training and experiences in this field.
Within these settings I have had the opportunity to work with adults, children, families, and couples, and have run many types of support groups. I have offered specialized diagnostic and treatment approaches within the context of Autism, ADHD, and Substance Abuse. Of these, adult ADHD, specifically within the context of romantic relationships, is still an area of specialized focus that I am actively receiving training in.
Consulting Services
Besides my work as a Therapist and separate from my private practice, I am currently a Consultant with the renowned ADHD expert, Melissa Orlov, and her ADHD & Marriage organization. Here I have received training from Melissa and other experts in the field of ADHD. I work alongside and learn from other highly skilled Consultants while also offering Consulting services to individuals and couples dealing with ADHD in their romantic relationships.
While my training under Melissa Orlov influences my knowledge and skillset as a Therapist, Consulting is not the same as Therapy and is not a service I offer out of my Therapy practice. For more information on my Consulting work, please feel free to click here
